Hailing from the Atlanta, GA area, Paul grew up on the ivory of his family's piano & equally upon the throne of a black Tama drum kit, playing in several bands throughout his childhood & high school years. While attending The University of Georgia, he held down the drums & and vocals in a couple rock bands during college. It was in Athens, GA where he also began a friendship with Whisperin' Bill Anderson via Nashville, started learning the craft of songwriting in spare time, and began writing his own tunes. Having spent several years living in Nashville after college, and back in Atlanta, Paul's inspired by an eclectic array of songwriters, singers & musicians - from Son House to Sinatra, Willie Nelson, Bill Anderson, Dean Dillon, Hendrix to Holland-Dozier-Holland, Nashville's (and Atlanta's) Tom Douglas, Ray Charles, Miike Snow, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Stone Temple Pilots, Atlanta's Andre Benjamin, Alton Ellis, Wilson Pickett, Lord Huron, Soundgarden, Sango, or RHCP, etc etc etc., he strives to create music with meaning 🙏 Thanks for visiting 🤘
